And with just 22 minutes to tell the story, the plight of the farmers themselves seemed a bit undercooked – with the Jedi/bounty hunter dynamic far more interesting. On the down side, man was that one constantly complaining, "We are just simple farmers" character annoying – added to by his incredibly abrasive voice. Quite simply, it gets points for creativity. And while they were also a touch goofy, I have to admit I smiled at the ejection devices Anakin, Obi-Wan and Ahsoka used when they crashed on the planet – which encased them inside a rubber ball like contraption, that safely bounced them down across rocky terrain. Meanwhile, the settings around the characters were very involving as well – I loved the quick look we got at the planet Felucia in Revenge of the Sith, and it was gratifying to see aspects of the planet expanded upon by The Force Unleashed (including the native Rancors) were included here. Oh, and let's not forget when he freaking broke the neck of the dude who was spying on them. The revelation that the big, bad ass robot Seripas was really a tiny little guy inside was a fun one – and as for Embo, well come on… he was just an actual bad ass! How cool was that hat of his?! I loved seeing how it was also a shield and battering ram, and especially when he flung it like he was Captain America. When she refused to take more money to betray the farmers that had paid her for protection - "We don't break deals" - it told you all we needed to know about her.
Okay, Rumi Paramita was fairly ignored (and ingloriously killed), but the other three were really interesting, beginning with their de facto leader, Sugi. His attitude and original character design no armor, a reptilian appearance, long arms and legs with clawed hands and feet make him unique in the Star Wars galaxy.
